কিডনিতে পাথর কেন জমে, কী করবেন?

শরীরের রক্ত পরিশোধনকারী অঙ্গ হচ্ছে কিডনি। আর সেই কিডনিতে সমস্যা দেখা দিলে দেহের বর্জ্য নিষ্কাশন সুচারুরূপে হবে না। সেক্ষেত্রে দেহের অন্যান্য অঙ্গও অকার্যেকর হয়ে পড়বে। তাই শরীর সুস্থ রাখতে হলে কিডনিও ভালো থাকা প্রয়োজন।

কিডনির মূল সমস্যা হচ্ছে পাথর জমা। কিডনিতে পাথর আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা দিন দিন বেড়েই চলছে।

আসুন জেনে নিই কেন কিডনিতে পাথর হয়? আর কিডনির পাথর দূর করতে কী করবেন সে সম্পর্কে।

১. কাঁচা লবণ খাওয়া স্বাস্থ্যের জন্য খুবই ক্ষতিকর। কারণ লবণে সোডিয়াম খুব সহজে জমা হতে থাকে কিডনিতে। এছাড়া অতিরিক্ত সোডিয়াম সমৃদ্ধ খাবারের কারণেও কিডনিতে পাথর জমার ঝুঁকি বাড়ে।

২. কিডনির কাজ হচ্ছে শরীরের বর্জ্য ছেঁকে শরীরকে টক্সিনমুক্ত করা। আর এই কাজটি কিডনি করে পানির সহায়তায়। তাই প্রচুর পানি পান করতে হবে। চাহিদামত পানি পান না করার কারণে কিডনি সঠিক ভাবে শরীরের বর্জ্য দূর করতে পারে না। ফলে আর ওই বর্জ্য কিডনিতে জমা হতে থাকে পাথর হিসেবে।

কিডনি সুস্থ রাখতে যা করবেন-

১. কিডনিতে পাথর জমার ঝুঁকি এড়াতে চাইলে অবশ্যই পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণে পানি খেতে হবে। তবে প্রয়োজনের তুলনায় বেশি পানি গ্রহণও কিডনিকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করে বলে জানিয়েছেন বিশেষজ্ঞরা।

২. দীর্ঘক্ষণ প্রসাব চেপে রাখা একেবারেই অনুচিত। বেগ এলেই প্রকৃতির ডাকে সাড়া দেয়াটাই উত্তম।

৩. তবে বারবার প্রসাবের জন্য শৌচাগারে যাওয়াও একটি বড় সমস্যা। এমন অভ্যাস হলে দ্রুত চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নেয়া উচিত এবং কিডনিতে সংক্রমণ ঘটেছে কিনা তা পরীক্ষা করা উচিত।
